    • Additional designation (on the right) - Б Е И К К1 Л Р Т У Э Ю Ю2 Я

    The additional designation located on the right after the main designation of the spherical plain bearing indicates special technical requirements.
    Б - one or two rings made of bronze;
    Е - one or two rings made of polymer material;
    И - sliding surface coated with molybdenum disulfide;
    К - groove and hole for lubrication on the inner and outer rings;
    К1 - groove and hole for lubrication on the outer ring;
    Л - one or two rings made of brass;
    Р - one or two rings made of heat-resistant steel;
    Т - annealing temperature;
    У - reduced inner axial clearance;
    Э - axes of the outer and inner rings are displaced relative to each other (eccentric bearing).
    Ю - one or two rings made of stainless steel;
    Ю2 - Sliding surface - stainless steel/silver (coating the inner ring ball with silver);
    Я - one or two rings made of rarely used materials.
    For spherical plain bearings of the ШЛТ design, the additional designation may also indicate specific loads under which the coating strength was tested. When the specific load is 120 MPa, the special designation is not used. The letters "А" or "Б" encode reduced specific loads used in testing the strength of the organovolokno-coated steel (90 MPa and 60 MPa, respectively).

    Lubrication Method of Spherical Plain Bearings.
    Spherical plain bearings can be divided into two groups based on the method of lubricating the working surfaces:

    Spherical plain bearings requiring lubrication supply (with steel/steel sliding surfaces). Spherical plain bearings with steel/steel sliding surfaces are designed to withstand alternating heavy, impact, or static loads.

    Self-lubricating spherical plain bearings without external lubrication (with steel/metal-polymer, steel/organovoloknit sliding surfaces). Self-lubricating spherical plain bearings are primarily designed to handle high constant-direction loads at low sliding speeds. They are used in assemblies with high durability requirements and in situations where maintenance of supports is difficult, making the use of steel/steel sliding surface bearings impractical.

    Working Temperature of Spherical Plain Bearings.
    Spherical plain bearings are operational at temperatures up to +120°C. Short-term operation of bearings at temperatures up to +150°C is permitted. For more demanding temperature conditions, special execution bearings are produced.

    Single-fracture spherical plain bearings, types ШП, ШСП, ШСП...К1, ШСП...К, ШМП.
    The advantage of single-fracture bearing types ШП, ШСП, ШСП...К1, ШСП...К, ШМП over types Ш, ШС, ШС...К1, ШС...К lies in the absence of cylindrical belts (grooves) on the inner rings and the absence of grooves on the outer rings, resulting in an increased sliding working surface and, consequently, enhanced load-carrying capacity.
    To improve wear resistance, single-fracture bearings can be coated with molybdenum disulfide (indicated by the letter "И" in the designation).
